May 20th – 22, 2017 will mark the 125th annual May Days Celebration in Kaslo, BC.

Come and celebrate the beginning of the summer season, when tourists and visitors turn this small mountain village into a bustling summer destination. There are activities and events all weekend including live music, craft and food vendors, logger sports, show and shine, a pancake breakfast a parade, and of course the May Pole Dance.

Pick up a copy of the local Pennywise paper for a complete printed schedule. Here are just a few of  the things going on around town.

Friday, May 19th

  • Start the weekend with live music at various locations around town on Friday night.

Saturday, May 20th

  • 8am – Slo Pitch Tournament starts
  • 9am – May Days Fun Run & Walk
  • 9am – 5pm Craft and Food Market in Vimy Park
  • 9am – Steampunk Quest game registration
  • 10am – Kids Races at Vimy Park
  • 11am – Logger Sports starts
  • 11 am – Live music and entertainment at Vimy Park
  • 11:30 – 5pm – Workshops at the Langham Cultural Centre
  • 12 – 5pm – Beer Gardens at Logger Sports
  • 12 – 3 –  Helicopter rides, proceeds go to the Kaslo Volunteer Fire Department
  • 1 pm – Horse Demonstration at the Riding Club grounds
  • 2pm – Toonie Fun Ride at Kaslo Airport, Kaslo Mountain Biking Club
  • 7:30 – Steam Punk Cabaret at the Langham Cultural Centre
  • Live music around town all evening

Sunday, May 21 2017

  • 8am Slo Pitch Tournament continues
  • 8am – 11 Pancake breakfast at the Legion Hall
  • 9am – 5pm Craft and Food Market in Vimy Park
  • 10am – 3pm Show n Shine on front street
  • 11:30 – 4:30 Logger sports continues
  • 12pm – 5pm beer gardens at the logger sports
  • 12pm – Live music and entertainment at Vimy Park
  • 7pm – A Woman’s guide to Peeing Outside & other adventures at the Langham

Monday, May 22 2017

  • 1pm – Maypole dance and citizen of the year
  • 12:30 – 3:30 – VHKAS victorian tea at St. Andrews United Church
  • 3pm – JV Humphries School Rubber Ducky Drop at the Kaslo River Bridge
